Parent / Guardian Consent and Release: I, the parent or guardian of the listed child who is a candidate for a position on the Lake Storm travel baseball team, hereby give my consent to his participation in any and all activities pertaining thereto, including tryouts. In consideration of the acceptance of this application, I assume all risks and hazards incidental to the conduct of the activities and transportation to and from the activities and acknowledge that I understand the dangers and perils of the game of baseball. I, for myself, my spouse and my child named herein, do hereby release, absolve, indemnify and agree to hold harmless and indemnified, Lake Storm Baseball, its directors, board members and coaches from any and all claims arising out of or on account of injury to my child. I, for myself, my spouse and my child hereby waive all claims against said releases and each of them individually, in case of injury to my child or to me or to my spouse, property damage, wrongful death or any other cause of action arising out of participation in any event, game, practice or activity in connection with the game of baseball including risks and dangers not known, including potential exposure to COVID-19, or not reasonably foreseeable at this time. I also understand that this application DOES NOT guarantee my child a position on the Lake Storm travel baseball team for which they apply and/or tryout. Participant and parent/guardian acknowledge that they have been provided and have read the foregoing and have not relied upon any representations of releases. By submitting this tryout form I an electronically agreeing to the above.

Your son will be expected to:
1. Give 100% at practices & games.
2. Have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
3. Listen to and take instructions from coaches.
4. Treat coaches & teammates with respect at all times.
5. Strive to be the best he can be.
We will roster 12 players for the 2025 season. This is subject to change based on tryouts.
Practices are scheduled to stat November 3, 2024 (Sunday Morning 9:30-11am) and will run x1 per week.
Starting in January 2025 1 additional practice will be held in addition to Sunday practice. Practice will be held on Thursday nights 6-8pm at Gentlebrook Sports Complex.
Practice schedule is subject to change.
Practices will start in November 2024 x1 per week. January we will go to x2 practices per week.
We project to end the season July 1, 2025. Subject to change. A final end date will be released by March 31, 2025
The regular season will be played through SSBL (Stark-Summit Baseball League).
The Tournament schedule has not been set for the 2025 season as of yet. We will be competing in 6 - 8 tournaments. We will have some over night tournaments in 2025. The number of these over night tourneys have not yet been decided.
Rostered players: The cost of play will take into consideration the following:
indoor training facility, outside expert coaches, equipment cost, team insurance, uniforms, umpire cost, tournament costs, etc.
Per player cost for the 2025 season has not yet been determined. There will be fundraising opportunities that you can participate in to help offset team fees. Details will be made available at the first practice in November
*** Upon acceptance to the team a $400 non-refundable deposit is required to hold your player’s spot on the team. This payment will come off the total amount due.
The main coaching staff is a volunteer position.
At times we will bring in expert coaches to assist. These coaches do receive financial compensation for their time.
SSBL / Regular Season Games-
- During SSBL games, all players will get a chance to play.
Tournaments -
- Pool Play - TBD
- Bracket Play - 9 player batting order. Players will rotate defensively as the game dictates. There is no guarantee all players will play during bracket play.
